Local-first privacy

MindChart is designed so your notes do not have to leave the phone.

  • Notes, thoughts, folders, and graph data sit in an encrypted SQLite database.
  • Speech-to-text and structure suggestions can run with local models (Whisper, Llama).
  • Workspaces can be locked. Recovery uses a passphrase you control.

Network access is optional. If you enable a remote model (for example OpenAI through the companion server), only the payloads you send for that feature leave the device.

There is no MindChart account required to write notes.

The MindChart name and marks are reserved. The source is dual-licensed (AGPLv3 and commercial). See License and Trademark.
